The agreement was initialed by Abdullah Almusaibeeh, Chairman of the BADEA, and Yao Kouassi, CEO of Vista Group Holding, on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (FMI) and the World Bank Group. Through this transaction, the development institution intends to leverage Vista's banking network to increase financing for Guinean companies.

According to the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, the financing gap for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Guinea was estimated at 21,5% of gross domestic product (PIB) in March 2026. This lack of resources notably limits their capacity to invest, develop their activities, and create jobs.

The mobilization of new funding by banks thus constitutes a lever for improving business access to credit. This operation is part of a dynamic of partnerships between Vista Group and international development finance institutions.

In March 2026, the group's Guinean subsidiary, Vista Gui, had already obtained a loan of 20 million dollars from the IFC to increase its financing for small and medium-sized enterprises. At least 25% of the resources from this previous agreement were intended for businesses owned or led by women.

The new funding envelope from the BADEA therefore strengthens the means available to the banking group to support the Guinean private sector. Fanuelle YAO Published on 19/10/26 17:15 The Editorial Staff
