The BRVM continues its downward movement during this second session of the week. The three main indices finished in the red, with a decline of 0,94% for the BRVM-Composite to 524,52 points, 0,84% for the BRVM-30 to 254,01 points, and 1% for the BRVM-Prestige to 194,26 points.
This new contraction extends the weakness observed the day before and accentuates the market pullback. Among the notable events, Orange CI recorded a loss of 93,41 billion FCFA in market capitalization, weighing on the overall valuation of the listed stocks.
This decline occurred in an already unfavorable context, marked by corrections on several securities and a negative orientation of the main indices. Regarding the sharpest declines, Bernabé CI dropped 7,03% to 1 720 FCFA, marking the session's largest decline.
SODECI followed with a drop of 6,79% to 12 010 FCFA, while CIE shed 6,31% to 5 200 FCFA. Conversely, some securities moved against the trend.
Onatel BF rose 7,41% to 3 115 FCFA, ahead of BOA Niger, up 6,67% to 4 800 FCFA, and AGL, which gained 4,71% to 3 000 FCFA. These gains, however, remain insufficient to reverse the general trend.
Trading reached 5 ,54 billion FCFA, including 4,29 billion FCFA on Sonatel, representing 77,47% of the total value traded. This high concentration of transactions on the security occurred as Sonatel fell by more than 2%, approaching its stock split.
The level of trading thus demonstrates the intensity of operations on this security during a session marked by the decline of the main indices. Aurélia Ahua.
