The BRVM begins the week in the red. Its three main indices ended lower: the BRVM-Composite fell by 0,26% to 545,46 points, the BRVM-30 shed 0,16% to 264,15 points and the BRVM-Prestige lost 0,26% to 202,56 points.
In this context, several stocks are undergoing marked corrections, starting with BICICI, whose decline of 4,54% to 31 450 FCFA translates into a loss of 25 billion FCFA in market capitalization. This underperformance erases part of the rebound recorded during the previous session.
After advancing by 4,75% to 32 945 FCFA, the banking stock is falling again and returns below its closing level prior to this rebound. At the beginning of last week, BICICI had already fallen by 7,38% to 31 305 FCFA.
These successive variations illustrate a choppy price trend, marked by recoveries quickly followed by new declines. The day's decline thus brings the stock near its previous low point.
Selling pressure is also affecting other stocks. BOA Niger recorded the largest decline of the session, with a drop of 6,48% to 4 475 FCFA.
Oragroup Togo followed with a loss of 6% to 2 820 FCFA, while SITAB fell by 4,98% to 2 005 FCFA. These declines confirm the difficulties encountered by several listed securities.
However, some stocks are bucking the trend. Bernabé CI posted the best performance of the day, with a gain of 4,72% to 1 885 FCFA.
Total CI rose by 4,53% to 3 000 FCFA, while AGL advanced by 4,20% to 2 980 FCFA. These gains reflect isolated resistance without managing to reverse the general market trend.
On the trading front, transactions totaled 2,91 billion FCFA. The SITAB alone accounts for 894,43 million FCFA, or 30,74% of the total value traded.
It thus establishes itself as the most active stock of the session in terms of amounts traded, in a market marked by the decline of the main indices. Aurélia Ahua Published on 12/10/26 16:10 The Editorial Staff
