On the occasion of World Heart Day 2026, the Société Ivoirienne de Banque (SIB) renewed, this 1st of October, its commitment alongside the Fondation de l'Institut de Cardiologie d'Abidjan (FICA) in favor of cardiovascular disease prevention and public health.

Centered around the theme 'Use Heart for Every Heart', this edition featured several awareness-raising activities organized at the Banco National Park on 26 September, followed by Anyama on 29 September. These initiatives aimed to bring prevention messaging closer to the populations and encourage the adoption of habits conducive to cardiovascular health.

At Banco National Park, the Fondation-ICA specifically provided two spaces dedicated to prevention and health education. Participants were able to interact with healthcare professionals regarding major cardiovascular risk factors, blood pressure monitoring, physical activity, sleep, and stress management.

A specific segment was also dedicated to nutrition, providing practical advice on dietary balance, reading labels, reducing salt consumption, and food choices to prioritize for maintaining cardiovascular health.

Beyond information, participants were invited to identify simple actions to incorporate into their daily lives: walking regularly, engaging in physical activity, better balancing their diet, or monitoring their blood pressure. An approach that serves as a reminder that prevention also relies on the ability of each individual to act daily.

This initiative is part of the SIB corporate social responsibility approach and the ESG momentum driven by the Attijariwafa bank Group, which places significant importance on social impact and human development. Through its support for public health initiatives, the Bank intends to contribute, at its level, to sustainably improving the well-being of the populations.

The partnership between the Société Ivoirienne de Banque and the Fondation de l'Institut de Cardiologie d'Abidjan is part of a collaboration initiated in 2012. Through this agreement, the SIB has committed to supporting the Fondation-ICA in the medical care of children suffering from cardiovascular diseases, as well as in the deployment of awareness-raising actions, particularly within schools.

By continuing this commitment alongside the FICA, the SIB reaffirms its vocation as a corporate citizen and its dedication to high-social-impact initiatives. Faithful to its mission as a responsible and committed bank, it intends to continue supporting actions that contribute concretely to human development, public health, and sustainable progress in Côte d'Ivoire.

About the SIB

A major player in the Ivorian banking sector and a subsidiary of the Attijariwafa bank Group, the SIB has been supporting individuals, professionals, businesses, and institutions in the realization of their projects for over six decades. Through its social responsibility policy, it supports initiatives contributing to social inclusion, education, health, and sustainable development.
