The CEDEAO Investment and Development Bank (BIDC) is opening its Young Professionals recruitment program for the 2026 edition. The Lomé-based institution is seeking young graduates from the West African region and the diaspora, under 30 years of age, to join its teams for a two-year professional career path.
Applications are open until 30 October 2026. The program particularly targets holders of a Master's degree or equivalent in fields related to the bank's activities.
The profiles sought include, among others, finance, economics, accounting, auditing, risk management, law, engineering, information technology, human resources, business administration, or operations related to the public and private sectors. The BIDC is also seeking expertise in asset-liability management, communication and marketing, as well as translation and interpretation.

During this phase, the contract may be terminated by either party without notice. Candidates whose performance is deemed satisfactory, however, may have their engagement converted into an indefinite contract and thus permanently join the bank's staff.
One of the main advantages of the scheme lies in its rotation system. Participants will be successively assigned to several departments of the BIDC, depending on the institution's needs, in order to discover different professions and acquire broader experience of its operations.
They will work under the supervision of experienced professionals and will benefit from the conditions of service applicable to grade P1-1. These include, in particular, housing and transport allowances, a cost-of-living allowance, as well as, depending on family situation, certain social benefits.
Affiliation with the bank's pension scheme and insurance coverage are also provided. See also- The CEDEAO launches a professional internship program for young graduates.
Beyond the degree, the BIDC expects candidates to possess good analytical, organizational, and research skills, as well as an aptitude to work in a multicultural environment. Proficiency in major office tools, particularly Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint, is also a requirement.
Linguistically, candidates must be fluent in English, French, or Portuguese and have a working knowledge of at least one of the other two working languages of the institution. Shortlisted candidates will then be required to undergo written and oral examinations at the BIDC headquarters in Lomé.
The evaluation will focus on technical knowledge, professional skills, computer proficiency, personality and motivation, as well as written and oral communication skills in at least two of the bank's three working languages. Interested individuals must submit their application file via email to [email protected] no later than 30 October 2026, indicating in the subject line 'PROGRAM DE RECRUITMENT DES JEUNES PROFESSIONALS – 2026'.
The file must include, in particular, a detailed CV, copies of degrees, an identity document, a birth certificate, and a cover letter presenting the candidate's background, areas of interest, and professional outlook. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the remainder of the process.
