The regional market continued its recovery trend this Wednesday, 7 October. The BRVM-Composite gained 0,56 % to 547,91 points, bringing its progression to two consecutive sessions.

The BRVM-30 appreciated by 0,52 % to 265,31 points, while the BRVM-Prestige advanced more modestly by 0,14 % to 203,22 points. The market landscape has also improved.

After counting more declines than advances on Tuesday, the market this time recorded 22 gains against 15 pullbacks. The recovery thus appears to be more broadly shared, even if some equities still contributed strongly to the rise in the indices.

Orange CI once again occupied the center stage. The stock rose by 2,85 % to 22 000 FCFA, adding approximately 91,9 billion FCFA to its market capitalization.

After its 7,49 % jump on Tuesday, this new rise brings its gain to more than 10 % over two sessions and confirms its role in the recent market rebound. Behind Orange CI, Tractafric Motors CI stood out with a gain of 4,96 % to 4 340 FCFA.

After its 7,40 % rise on Tuesday, the stock has thus posted more than 12 % growth over two sessions, establishing itself as one of the most dynamic stocks of the beginning of the week. CIE CI followed at 6 500 FCFA, up 4,84 %, while SMB CI rose by 3,13 % to 16 500 FCFA.

The session was not, however, devoid of marked declines. ONATEL BF recorded the largest decrease, shedding 5,94 % to 2 770 FCFA.

Sucrivoire CI gave up 3,23 % to 2 700 FCFA and SIB CI retreated by 2,78 % to 8 750 FCFA. Activity also contracted compared to the previous day, with 2,68 billion FCFA traded across the entire listing.

Sonatel remains the most traded security, with 956 million FCFA in transactions, representing nearly 36 % of the capital exchanged. Its share thus declined compared to the 42,48 % recorded on Tuesday, even though the stock remains far ahead in trading.
