The BRVM continues its retreat for the second consecutive session, in a market clearly dominated by declines, with 24 stocks falling against 13 rising. This predominance of declines is accompanied by a 0,28% drop in the BRVM-Composite, to 543,91 points.
The BRVM-30 gives up 0,36% to 263,20 points, while the BRVM-Prestige limits its decline to 0,11%, to 202,34 points. In this context, ETI records a market capitalization loss of 18,1 billion FCFA, increasing pressure on the market.
The most marked declines concern Sicable, which posted the session's steepest drop, with a 6,99% fall to 3 060 FCFA. Alios Finance retreated 3,38% to 4 005 FCFA, while NSIA Banque gave up 3,20% to 21 000 FCFA.
These corrections, combined with the predominance of declining stocks, confirm that the negative trend is affecting several listed securities. Conversely, a few stocks posted significant gains.
Total CI leads the rankings with a 6,83% gain to 3 205 FCFA, ahead of Tractafric, up 6,02% to 4 400 FCFA, and Setao, which advanced 3,99% to 2 085 FCFA. These performances demonstrate pockets of resistance within the market, without, however, being sufficient to reverse the general trend.
Transactions reached 3,1 billion FCFA, including 894,43 million FCFA on Sonatel, representing 31,14% of the total trading value. The stock fell 0,22% to 44 900 FCFA, thus associating a price decline with a significant contribution to stock market activity.
