The Ivorian subsoil continues to attract mining ambitions. The Council of Ministers, on 14 October 2026, has indeed adopted 6 decrees authorizing research activities on new perimeters, with a predominance of gold, while copper and nickel complete the exploration program.

Five companies are benefiting from these authorizations, which are valid for 4 years and issued subject to compliance with technical and environmental requirements.

The company AWALE RESOURCES SARL has obtained 2 gold permits in the departments of Gbéléban and Minignan. Three other companies have been granted authorizations for gold: ETRUSCAN RESOURCES COTE D'IVOIRE SARL, in Bondoukou and Tanda, SMART MINING GROUP SARL, in M'Bahiakro and Bouaké, as well as TIETTO MINERALS COTE D'IVOIRE SARLU, in Gagnoa and Soubré.

The program also covers base metals. SWITCH METALS COTE D'IVOIRE SARL is authorized to search for copper and nickel in the departments of Ouaninou and Touba.

These permits initiate a new exploration phase, intended to evaluate the potential of the zones concerned. However, they do not predetermine the discovery of economically exploitable deposits or the future opening of mines.

The realization of these prospects will depend on the results of the research activities and compliance with the applicable regulatory framework.
