After three sessions of decline this week, the BRVM regained momentum this Thursday, September 24, 2026. The BRVM-Composite rose by 2.97% to 531.63 points, the BRVM-30 by 3.19% to 258.18 points, and the BRVM-Prestige by 2.36% to 197.74 points.
The market saw 28 gains, against 10 losses and 9 stable stocks.
Highly anticipated, the arrival of Bridge Bank Group Côte d'Ivoire generated strong interest, with nearly 1.2 billion FCFA in buy orders at the opening. On its debut, the stock closed at 7,255 FCFA, up 7.48% from its introductory price of 6,750 FCFA, placing it among the session's top performers.
This performance comes against a backdrop of improving fundamentals. Between 2021 and 2025, the net banking income grew by an average of 17.5% per year, while the average return on equity stood at 28%.
In the first half of 2026, the bank generated a net income of 15.2 billion FCFA for a total balance sheet of 1,560 billion FCFA.
BOA Mali recorded the day's strongest gain, reaching its daily limit (+7.50% to 5,880 FCFA), following semi-annual results marked by an 8% increase in profit. Sucrivoire CI gained 7.43% to 2,890 FCFA, while ETI TG (+6.25% to 68 FCFA) recorded the largest market capitalization gain, adding approximately 18.08 billion FCFA.
Conversely, BIIC Bénin fell 7.48% to 7,920 FCFA, ahead of Servair Abidjan CI (-3.31% to 3,800 FCFA) and Tractafric Motors CI (-2.86% to 4,080 FCFA).
Trading volume strengthened to 3.40 billion FCFA, compared to 2.36 billion the previous day. Sonatel remained the most active stock, with 30.48% of transactions, or approximately 1.04 billion FCFA.
