Halfway through its 2026 financial year, the Société Ivoirienne de Banque (SIB) displays a particularly solid trajectory, driven by clearly expanding commercial activity and profitability that continues to appreciate. In an increasingly competitive banking environment, the Bank manages to advance its main aggregates while maintaining a robust financial structure, thus confirming the soundness of its fundamentals.
Commercial momentum is one of the main highlights of the period. Credits granted to customers reached 1 169 billion FCFA, an increase of 12% year-on-year, while deposits stand at 1 581 billion FCFA, also up by 12%.
This simultaneous growth in uses and resources reflects a capacity to intensify customer support while strengthening collection, in a context where depositor confidence remains an essential determinant of banking growth. This expansion is reflected in revenues, with a Net Banking Income of 56,6 billion FCFA, up 4%.
Gross Operating Income grew by 6% to 36,6 billion FCFA, a sign of favorable development in operational performance. The progress is even more marked at the profit level: net income reached 32,1 billion FCFA, compared to 29,4 billion FCFA a year earlier, representing an increase of 2,7 billion FCFA or 9%.
SIB thus demonstrates its ability to transform the growth of its activity into a tangible improvement in its profitability. The income statement provides additional insight into this development.
General operating expenses amount to 18,4 billion FCFA, while depreciation and amortization charges reach 1,75 billion FCFA. Above all, the cost of risk is falling sharply, from 1,16 billion FCFA to 287 million FCFA.
This decrease contributes to bringing operating income to 36,1 billion FCFA, strengthening the conversion of operational performance into final income. Behind these performances, SIB also maintains a solid financial base.
Its total balance sheet stands at nearly 1 968 billion FCFA at the end of June 2026, up 5% since the end of 2025. The Bank also highlights the maintenance of a solvency level well above the regulatory threshold of 11,5%, giving it comfortable room for maneuver to continue financing the economy while absorbing potential economic shocks.
Recognition that accompanies performance The scope of this performance finally goes beyond just financial indicators. The double distinction obtained at the International Banker Awards 2026, as "Best Commercial Bank - Côte d'Ivoire" and "Best Innovation in Retail Banking - Côte d'Ivoire", accompanies this trajectory and underscores the Bank's progress in its commercial activities and the modernization of its offer.
For the second half of 2026, the challenge will now be to extend this momentum while pursuing the transformation of the model. SIB plans to accelerate the modernization of its services and strengthen its governance standards, in a regional environment that it considers generally favorable, subject to the absence of major exogenous shocks.
The stated objective is to consolidate the gains of the first half and to continue creating sustainable value for its various stakeholders. Stock behavior The SIB share maintains a favorable orientation, with an increase of nearly 57% since the beginning of 2026.
After reaching a peak at 9 500 FCFA, the stock is currently trading around 9 005 FCFA, in a consolidation phase following its sharp appreciation. The underlying trend remains constructive in the medium and long term, while the RSI at 47,09 reflects a now more balanced momentum, without an overbought situation.
On the technical side, 9 000 FCFA constitutes the first level of support to watch. As long as this threshold is maintained, the underlying bullish bias remains intact.
Conversely, 9 300 FCFA appears as the first threshold for reconquest, the crossing of which would allow the positive momentum to be revived in the direction of the levels recently reached. Between 9 000 and 9 300 FCFA, the stock is thus in a transition zone, where the market is still seeking a new impulse.
