Daloa, Côte d'Ivoire – True to its commitment to proximity, the Société Ivoirienne de Banque (SIB) launched its Open House Days in Daloa, in the Haut-Sassandra region, this Monday, 19 October 2026. Scheduled until this Tuesday, 20 October, this initiative reflects the Bank's desire to listen to local economic stakeholders and maintain its contribution to the dynamism of the regional economy.
For 64 years, the SIB has supported Ivorian individuals, entrepreneurs, and businesses with solutions adapted to the realities of each territory. As the economic hub of Haut-Sassandra, Daloa illustrates this: agriculture, commerce, transport, services, and processing create wealth and jobs there.
These days allow the Bank to better understand the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, merchants, and PME, and to engage in a direct dialogue with them regarding their financing, management, and development needs. It was in this spirit that the opening ceremony was held this Monday at 10h00 at the Hotel Rymer.
Respectful of local traditions, it began with a libation ritual led by the chief of the land and a traditional performance. Taking the floor, Mr.
Bakary Yeo, Deputy General Manager of the SIB, reiterated the Bank's mission: ‘'We want to provide our clients with solutions that facilitate their operations, support their ambitions, and accompany their projects at every stage of their development.'' He then specified the ambition of the SIB in the region: ‘'In Daloa, our ambition is to strengthen the role of the SIB as the reference partner for the local economic ecosystem.''
He added: ‘'That is the entire purpose of these Open House Days. They provide us with the opportunity to strengthen the dialogue with the stakeholders of Daloa, to better understand their expectations, and to enable them to discover the solutions that the SIB makes available to them.''
Representing the Prefect of the Haut-Sassandra region, the 2 Secretary General of the prefecture, Mr. Bamba Yaya, praised an initiative that brings banks closer to economic stakeholders.
Recalling that access to financing is crucial for very small, small, and medium-sized enterprises, employment, and wealth creation, he invited operators to better structure their administrative and financial management to strengthen their credibility with banks, and assured them of the authorities' availability to support investment. In the same vein, the Mayor of Daloa, Mr.
Gbeuly Stéphane, highlighted the city's potential in commerce, agriculture, transport, and services, as well as the importance of financial partnerships adapted to the realities of entrepreneurs and merchants. He reaffirmed the municipality's support for these initiatives.
After the ceremony, discussions continued in the field. This Monday, a roundtable workshop brought together clients and prospects to discuss financing solutions, cash management, and bancassurance, and client visits were conducted.
During the two days, product booths with entertainment, set up in front of the branch, allowed the public to discover the Bank's offering. This Tuesday, 20 October, the program will continue with factory visits and discussions with strategic economic operators in the area.
