The Investment and Development Bank of CEDEAO (BIDC) is launching its Young Professional Recruitment Program for the 2026 edition. The Lomé-based institution is seeking young graduates from the West African region and the diaspora, aged under 30, to join its teams for a two-year professional path.
Applications are open until 30 October 2026. The program particularly targets holders of a Master's degree or equivalent in fields related to the bank's activities.
Targeted profiles include finance, economics, accounting, auditing, risk management, law, engineering, information technology, human resources, business administration, or operations related to the public and private sectors. The BIDC is also seeking expertise in asset-liability management, communication, marketing, as well as translation and interpretation.

During this phase, the contract may be terminated by either party without notice. Candidates whose performance is deemed satisfactory may, however, have their employment converted into an open-ended contract and thus permanently join the bank's staff.
One of the main advantages of the scheme lies in its rotation system. Participants will be successively assigned to several departments of the BIDC, depending on the institution's needs, in order to discover different professions and acquire broader experience of its operations.
They will work under the supervision of experienced professionals and will benefit from the conditions of service applicable to the P1-1 grade. These include, in particular, housing and transport allowances, a cost-of-living allowance, and, depending on family status, certain social benefits.
Membership in the bank's pension scheme and insurance coverage are also provided. See also - The CEDEAO launches a professional internship program for young graduates.
Beyond the diploma, the BIDC expects candidates to possess strong analytical, organizational, and research skills, as well as the ability to work in a multicultural environment. Proficiency in main office software tools, particularly Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint, is also required.
Linguistically, candidates must be fluent in English, French, or Portuguese and have a working knowledge of at least one of the other two working languages of the institution. Shortlisted candidates will then be required to undergo written and oral tests at the BIDC headquarters in Lomé.
The evaluation will focus on technical knowledge, professional skills, mastery of computer tools, personality and motivation, as well as written and oral communication skills in at least two of the three working languages of the bank. Interested persons must submit their application via email to [email protected] no later than 30 October 2026, indicating in the subject line 'PROGRAM DE RECRUITMENT DES JEUNES PROFESSIONALS – 2026'.
The file must include a detailed CV, copies of diplomas, an identity document, a birth certificate, and a cover letter presenting the candidate's background, areas of interest, and professional prospects. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the remainder of the process.
